File Types - Image Formats

Browse your computer's folders and PhotoELF will list the following image formats for you to: display, edit, print, convert and save.

2	CLP Windows ClipBoard File
3	CUR Windows Cursor File
4	EMF Enhanced Meta File *
5	FPX Kodak Flash Pix
6	GIF Graphical Interchange Format *
7	ICO Windows Icon File
8	IFF Interchange File
9	IMG Generic Image Format
10	JPG JPEG File Interchange Format
11	PCT MacPict
12	PCX Paintbrush ZSoft
13	PNG Portable Network Graphics
14	PSD Adobe PhotoShop 3.0
15	RAS Sun Raster
16	SGI Silicon Graphics Image
17	TGA TARGA
18	TIF Tagged Image File Format
19	WMF Windows Meta File *

* Indicates a format which PhotoELF can read, but not write. You may, however, edit these images and save them as a different format.

PhotoELF can also convert and save an image to as a 32-Bit, 24-Bit, 8-Bit, 4-Bit and 1-Bit format. Use the Advanced Save As feature. Look in the File menu. Complete List of Advanced Formats

Viewing All Files ( . )

Since PhotoELF handles most of the file manipulation functions: Delete, Rename, Cut, Copy, Paste etc. we thought it important to allow all file types to be displayed in the File List Box.

Under the FORMATS menu:

Selecting: All Files (*.*) will list all files (*.*) in the file list box, giving you full access to: Delete, Rename, Copy etc.

While in this mode, PhotoELF considers all files types, that are not listed above, to be Non-Valid Image Files and will not attempt to display them in the Image View Window. Instead, PhotoELF will display the default image.

To view valid PhotoELF image files only, go back to the FORMATS menu and select: Photo Formats Only or one of the other selections.
